Our client, an international pharmaceutical company based in Basel, is looking for a new team member as

Laboratory Documentation Specialist

The perfect candidate has an apprenticeship (EFZ) or higher education (BSc) in life science and continuous education in business and administration and is familiar with laboratory animals and regulatory compliance.

Tasks & Responsibilities
* Responsible for regular updates and archiving of electronic files related to Standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions and other business critical documents
* Communicating with scientists and lab staff; coordination between contributors; ensuring adherence to timelines
* Layout and formatting
* Supporting documentation related to legislation
* Storing and archiving of datasheets for transgenic animals in a central database and making these available to research staff
* Preparation, storage and upload of education data to a federal system
* Registration of research staff on protocols under alignment of two systems
* Entering master file data in different systems
* Support of administrative tasks of the Chapter (e.g. ordering, shipping, logistics)
* Participation in process optimization within supply management (ordering of animals and tracking)
* Improving electronic record storage and archiving as well accessibility of data

Must Haves:
* Finished vocational training (EFZ) or higher education (BSc), preferably in biology lab setting or administrative area
* Min. 3 years experience working in administrative position within biology laboratory setting in close collaboration with research associates and scientists or apprenticeship in biology lab experienced with office documentation
* Experience in database and machine-maintenance data management
* Experience in regulatory compliance and animal welfare
* Technical affinity and very good skills in Google-Suite, well experienced and skilled with MS Office
* Very good spoken and written skills in English is a must, German is an advantage
* Team player with solution-oriented, proactive and agile working style
* Excellent analytical and self-organizational skills, attention to detail and diligent working behavior
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* High degree of self-motivation, flexibility and ability to work independently
