For our customer a major player in the Pharmaceutical Industry in Basel we are looking for a:

Project & Collaboration Excellence manager

The focus of Oncology Operations is to support our DTA organization and their leaders towards the successful delivery of the portfolio from target assessment to completion of early clinical development. The position has a unique ability to impact the current and future success of the pRED Onc DTA.

The perfect candidate:
For this, the department Business Enabling (POAA) is seeking a Project & Collaboration Excellence manager who will work closely with selected scientific workstream teams and their leaders to enable efficient collaboration and delivery of the assigned goals. Hands on experience in project management and team leadership is preferred.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Provide professional Project Management support to selected non-molecule projects and initiatives in particular on:

  • Enable efficient and transparent communication within the team and to key stakeholders ○ Facilitate and organize team meetings and team events
  • Maintaining tools for efficient data management
  • Keep track of timelines and deliverables on the assigned scope and remit
  • Foster a collaborative team environment
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the scientific project/workstream leads

Contribute to workstream activities to enhance the collaboration across the DTA, in particular to substream activities on:

  • Designing a collaboration charter and best practice document
  • Revamping meeting culture across the DTA
  • Design and development of an Oncology Hub as a central data and information management platform
  • Establishing and maintaining a catalog of workstream activities with DTA involvement to provide transparency and enable prioritization

Must Haves:

  • Min. Bachelor's Degree in life sciences and hands on experience in Oncology drug discovery and/or development preferred
  • Min. 5 years' experience in the pharmaceuticals industry and first experience and knowledge in Drug Discovery or Drug Development
  • Min. 3 years of project management experience and strong communications skills are required
  • Min. 3 years of experience in collaborating with internal and/or external collaborators
  • Strong organizational skills, proactive working style with ability to structure, drive implementation and change management
  • Ability to work with senior leaders, to challenge assumptions, step outside traditional thinking
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and flexibly
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in leading cross-functional project teams in a matrix organization
  • Thorough understanding of data management, standards, integrity and reproducibility aspects
  • Ability to master general digital tools for data management, storage, visualization and analysis, e.g. Google Suite, Tableau/Spotfire or similar
