For our client in the IT sector, we are looking for a Security Engineer for a permanent position based in Zurich (or Lausanne).

Your tasks

• Responsible for the smooth operation of the specialist applications, using the switch-wide basic infrastructure. This includes network monitoring, alerting, accounting as well as the preparation and visualization of statistics.
• Continuous development of the existing tool landscape in terms of processes, structures, data and interfaces in order to increase efficiency and performance.
• Integration of specialist applications into the operational processes of the entire company.
• Internet resource management at RIPE to ensure allocated resources are optimally utilized and managed.
• Participate in the operation of network services to maintain a coherent and efficient network infrastructure.

Your profile

• Completed university studies (university, ETH, FH) in computer science or electrical engineering.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux system administration, application operation and automation using Ansible.
• Good network knowledge, preferably in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) area, and interest in new technologies.
• Programming knowledge, especially in scripting languages, to develop effective solutions and ideally experience in cloud-based services such as Kubernetes.
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written.
• Due to Swiss work permit restrictions, we can only consider applications from Swiss nationals, EU citizens as well as current work-permit holders for Switzerland.
