For our client in the Retail sector, we are looking for a Senior ICT System Engineer for a permanent position based in Sursee (Luzern).

Your tasks

• Monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and other systems.
• Ensuring the availability and security of the systems.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and disruptions related to IT infrastructure.
• Collaborating with the development team to implement new systems and technologies.
• Conducting performance analyses and optimizing system performance.
• Creating and updating documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Willingness to provide on-call duty and support in emergencies outside of regular working hours.

Your profile

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or comparable training.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position in the area of IT operations.
• Profound knowledge in the administration of servers in the Microsoft environment, networks, and SQL Server databases in the on-prem environment.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (e.g. VMware, AWS, Azure).
• Good knowledge of troubleshooting technical problems.
• Experience with IT security and knowledge of common security standards.
• Team-oriented working style with excellent communication skills.
• High resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Very good proficiency in German and good proficiency in English.
