Following the completed acquisition of European’s Staffing Business of Kelly by Gi Group Holding, Balz M. Villiger was appointed President of the Board & Country Manager of Gi Group Switzerland. As of immediate effect this acquisition makes Gi Group Switzerland a leading player on the Swiss staffing and recruitment market.

Gi Group Holding announced last week the successful completion of its acquisition of the European Staffing business of Kelly (Nasdaq: KELYA, KELYB), a leading global specialty talent solutions provider, making it the largest acquisition in Gi Group Holding’s history and increasing its revenues to five billion Euros.

The transaction accelerates Gi Group Holding’s growth strategy to become a leader in the global staffing and recruitment industry, as it expands its activities in eleven countries, such as France, Portugal and Switzerland, and additionally brings its services to Belgium, Luxembourg and Norway. It is especially notable given Kelly’s distinguished history in staffing services, further consolidating Gi Group Holding’s standing as a trusted, expert and reliable partner.

Gi Group a leading player on the Swiss staffing and recruitment market

On the Swiss front, this transaction further strengthens Gi Group Holding's position in the staffing and recruitment industry, especially across the sectors of Industrial & Manufacturing, Transport, Retail & Logistics and Life Sciences. Gi Group Switzerland is now present at 35 locations with over 250 employees, making it a leading player in the Swiss recruitment market.

Appointed Leadership Team under the lead of Balz M. Villiger

With the closing of the acquisition, the new leadership team of Gi Group Switzerland has been appointed, consisting of leading members of both organizations. Balz M. Villiger leads the new Swiss organization as President of the Board and Country Manager of Gi Group Switzerland.

Balz M. Villiger has gained extensive experience as a leader in an international environment. At last, since 2021 he held the position of Country General Manager Switzerland at Kelly where he was promoted as responsible for the country group Switzerland and the BeNeLux from January 2023. Prior to that, his career path at the RUAG Group took him through various functions in sales and marketing until he was promoted to Managing Director and SVP in 2018. Balz M. Villiger strengths lie in the development of growth strategies. Hereby, he puts a strong emphasis on the needs of customers and candidates to create unique and sustainable customer experiences. Balz M. Villiger is married, has two children, and lives close to Lucerne.

Suite à l'acquisition des activités européennes de Kelly par Gi Group, Balz M. Villiger a été nommé President of the Board & Country Manager de Gi Group Switzerland. Dès à présent, cette acquisition fait de Gi Group Switzerland un acteur de premier plan sur le marché suisse du recrutement et du placement de personnel, offrant des services d'excellence dans le domaine des ressources humaines.

Pour reformuler la célèbre chanson, «Love is in the air», parlons du changement dans l’air – et partout. Nous grandissons. Nous changeons. Regardez vos photos d’enfance. Regardez votre enfant, votre neveu, votre nièce. Le changement est là, et c’est incroyable. La nature change constamment. Nous attendons l’été pour profiter des activités de plein air et du jardinage, pour une visite rapide à la plage, ou simplement prendre le temps de se détendre et passer du temps avec la famille, les amis et les proches. Nous attendons l’hiver (même si nous ne voyons jamais la neige tomber) pour décorer la maison pour les vacances, emballer des cadeaux pour les gens que nous aimons et déballer les nôtres. La couleur des feuilles change, le temps change et les fleurs fleurissent en leur temps – le paysage se transforme constamment. Le monde qui nous entoure change. Nous voyageons dans d’autres pays et apprenons de nouvelles choses, cultures et langues. On s’adonne à de nouveaux hobbies. Nous acquérons de nouvelles compétences. Après quelques petits accidents de cuisine (parfois), nous pouvons cuisiner de délicieux plats et recevoir des compliments de la famille et des amis. Nous transformons notre corps à la salle de sport ou tout simplement en créant l’habitude de marcher tous les jours. Nous rencontrons de nouvelles personnes, nous tombons parfois amoureux, nous construisons des familles, nous avons des enfants. Et si vous reculez une seconde,vous réalisez que vous avez peut-être rencontré votre autre moitié par pure coïncidence. Mais vous avez fait un saut de foi dans l’inconnu. Nous adoptons de nombreux hangements inconnus, sauf celui qui peut changer notre façon de vivre cinq jours par semaine – changer d’emploi. «Je suis trop vieux/trop jeune pour changer», «J’ai l’habitude de cet environnement, c’est ma zone de confort», «Certes, je n’ai pas de promotion, et ce que je fais ne change pas le monde, mais c’est stable», «J’ai peur de demander des projets plus intéressants. Et si mon manager me licencie?». Souvent, nous ne voulons pas changer parce que cette étape exige une vision, du courage, un soutien extérieur et un saut de foi dans l’inconnu. Effrayant? Oui. Mais aussi prometteur. Un pas dans l’inconnu? Oui. Mais ça peut ouvrir une nouvelle porte. Vos valeurs intérieures sont-elles en accord avec ce que vous faites? Oui, c’est essentiel. Il n’y a rien de mal à rester dans sa zone de confort. À un moment ou à un autre de votre carrière, rester peut être une excellente décision. Mais si vous sentez que vous avez besoin d’un changement, parlez-en à Kelly. Nous sommes prêts à nous surpasser pour vous et soutenons votre souhait d’adopter ce changement.
